Up Drilling Right Wing Skins
Today I continued up drilling the right wing skins. I completed the rear edge of the top skin and then moved on to the leading edge skin. I removed the clecos and refit the leading edge skin so that the overlap was correct against the bottom skin. After clecoing the leading edge skin back in place, I up drilled half of the holes in the bottom of the leading edge skin to #33 in preparation for dimpling. The last step will be to up drill the holes into the main spar on the bottom of the wing. After dinner I finished the up drilling and started to dismantle the wing. I removed the bottom wing skin.
Up Drilling Bottom Right Wing Skin to #30
This morning I put away the control surfaces for the right wing. Then I proceeded to up drill most of the holes in the bottom right wing skin to #30. I left the holes that go through the main spar. I need to reverse the overlap between the rear skin and the leading edge skin before drilling these.
Fitting Aileron
Today I worked on fitting the right aileron. I drilled all of the holes that were accessible from the underside. The remainder will have to wait until after I remove the control surfaces.

Landing Lights Right Wing
Assembling Landing Light Lens Mount
Today I made the lower mount for the right wing landing light lens.
Fabricating Parts to Mount Landing Light Lense
Today I worked on the top lens mounting strip. I assembled the strip and mounted it to the wing skin. Before finishing I marked the start line for the bottom lens mounting strip.
Completing Wing and Landing Light
I’m going to start today by removing the plastic covering along the rivet line of the leading edge skin using my soldering iron. Next I opened up the wing to work on the mount for the landing light and trimmed the protective coating around the opening so that I will be able to install the lense hardware. I removed the two outboard tip ribs and then using my forming dies I reversed the outboard stiffening flange on one of the ribs. Next I marked drilled and installed the nut plates. Finally, I reinstalled the ribs.
