Aft Fuselage Details
Aft Lower Cabin Details
Today I worked on the after lower cabin details. I drilled all of the #40 holes and started to work on the up drilling to #30.
Aft Lower Cabin
Today I continued to work on the aft lower cabin. I got all of the channels installed and pilot drilled.
Lower Firewall Rivets
I finally go the lower firewall rivets installed. I used my tight space riveter and a bushing ground to a 30 degree angle.
Installing Seat Belt Attach Assembly
I started today by raising up the fuselage on blocks so that I could get my angle drill underneath. I then proceeded to transfer the #40 holes through into the seat belt attach assembly from the fuselage floor. This would probably be easier with the fuselage upside down but in my limited space this seemed easier at the moment. I want all the holes in the bottom flange of the seat belt attach assembly in order to make drilling for the gusset plates easier.
Completing the Fuselage Box Assembly
I finished bolting in the lower motor mounts through the fuselage floor. I torqued these as required to 25 in-lbs. I also installed the fasteners in the rear splice plates and torqued these as well. I need to order some fasteners to secure the top splice plates to the fuselage longerons. I don’t have any of the S54 size bolts.
Deburring and Up Drilling Fuselage Box Assembly
Today I worked at getting all of the fuselage box assembly parts up drilled, dimpled and deburred. After all the holes were deburred I started to rivet the fuselage sides together.
