Today I finished riveting the upper firewall in place except for the last center rivet which I need to look up the size of. I double checked the tank fit (which was fine) and did some cleanup of the upper longeron where the windshield bow fits.

Today I install brass plugs into my gas tank in preparation for cleaning. Next I started to rivet the upper firewall into place.

Today I continued working on installing the fasteners into the upper motor mounts that go through the glare shield. After torquing all of the fasteners I proceeded to rivet the angle to the glare shield that fasten to the upper fire wall.

Today I began by working on deburring of holes in the longerons for the glare shield rivets. Once the deburring was complete I did a final check on the torque for all of the fasteners that will be hidden once the glare shield is in place.

I worked on up drilling the holes to mount the glare shield. I completed the holes into the longerons and began working on the holes into the firewall angles.

I worked on trimming the splice plates for my custom glare shield.

I worked on fitting the glare shield back in and drilling the pilot holes.
